Evaluation of the Design, Fabrication, and Operation of a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) Utilizing a Suggested Grid-Tie Topology Suitable for the Coastal Area of Bangladesh

Wind is one of the most potential renewable energy sources in Bangladesh. Due to modest wind speed and direction changes, designing an effective wind power-producing system in this region is difficult. The goal of designing the vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) is to establish a wind power generation system considering all these limitations. VAWT is appropriate for wind from any direction and less affected by natural calamities. In this study, a novel VAWT is proposed. A 500 W wind turbine prototype is manufactured and put in the lab. The turbine's output can be fed into the grid using a Grid Tie Inverter. Performance and economic feasibility are investigated in this article.
