Automatic irrigation systems have recently gained popularity due to their effectiveness and simplicity in watering plants. Despite advances made in this area, there is still room for development. This research study will look at the most recent improvements in automatic irrigation systems and propose ways to improve their performance. Our research included a review of current studies, an analysis of market trends, and interviews with industry professionals to get insight into the opportunities and problems that these systems present. Our findings show considerable advancements in the use of sensors and machine learning algorithms to optimize water use. However, there is always opportunity for advancement in the development of more precise sensors and complicated algorithms for analyzing sensor data. Furthermore, our research stresses the need of taking into account soil type, plant type, and weather conditions while developing automatic irrigation systems in order to get better results. A comprehensive approach that takes into account all important elements can improve irrigation systems' effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. Overall, this study presents a complete summary of recent improvements in autonomous irrigation systems and identifies areas for future research. We believe that this research will spur further innovation in this field and lead to the development of irrigation systems that are both efficient and sustainable.
